Hideaki Iwasaki
Hideaki Iwasaki is a Senior Consultant at Shingijutsu Global Consulting, with extensive experience as an internal Kaizen leader and senior manager in the Japanese automotive industry. His career is characterized by long-term, hands-on involvement in the application of the Toyota Production System, including Kaizen, Just-In-Time, Jidoka, and Gemba-based operational improvement.
He began his professional career at Isuzu Motors Limited in 1969 and served as Manager of the Technology Division from 1969 to 1985. During this period, he was responsible for production technology related to automobile manufacturing, model design, metal mold design, process planning, and material control. He subsequently spent more than a decade promoting manufacturing streamlining initiatives across Isuzu’s Manufacturing Division, while also supporting Kaizen implementation at partner companies in Japan and contributing to the establishment of overseas production plants.
He provided Kaizen consultation and led Gemba Kaizen and plant diagnosis activities globally, including support for Isuzu’s manufacturing operations in the United States, where he assisted in the setup of body production and assembly plants through Kaizen-based approaches.
From 1999, he was assigned to Isuzu Techno, serving as Group Leader and Director of the Foreign Operations Division. In this role, he supported the establishment of overseas plants while simultaneously conducting Kaizen and plant diagnosis activities. Between 2004 and 2008, he led Gemba Kaizen, Kaizen seminars, and 5S initiatives in manufacturing technology fields across Ukraine and Russia, and also supported Kaizen and plant diagnosis projects in China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Canada, the United States, South Africa, Ecuador, and Pakistan.
Since joining Shingijutsu Global Consulting in 2008, he has continued to provide consulting services in Japan and internationally. His expertise includes Lean Production, material and information flow, Just-In-Time systems, Jidoka, Gemba Kaizen, lead time reduction, and improvements in quality, productivity, capacity, and inventory performance.
