Atsuhiro Inoko

Atsuhiro Inoko is a Senior Consultant at Shingijutsu Global Consulting, bringing over 35 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing and operational management based on the Toyota Production System.

He began his career in 1980 at Toyota Boshoku Corporation, where he was assigned to the Manufacturing Department at the Kariya Plant. During his first 11 years, he acquired a deep understanding of Toyota-style manufacturing and shop-floor management. This period included participation in the launch of a new air cleaner production line at DENSO Corporation’s Takatana Plant. Through these experiences, he developed practical expertise in waste elimination, cost reduction, and standardized work.

Following this, he was seconded for two years to Toyota Motor Corporation’s operations management consulting division, where he mastered TPS principles through Genchi, Genbutsu—learning directly at the actual place and with actual products. By working across both vehicle and component manufacturing, he cultivated a comprehensive view of the entire production flow, from parts procurement to finished vehicles, while engaging directly with Toyota’s senior management in Kaizen activities.

After returning to Toyota Boshoku in 1994, he held successive leadership roles in production improvement and production control, eventually serving as Division Manager. He established autonomous Kaizen activity frameworks within Toyota Boshoku and its Tier 1 suppliers, contributing to significant organizational and cost competitiveness improvements. He also led TPS deployment across more than 90 overseas group companies.

In 2013, he was appointed Director of Toyota Boshoku Malaysia, where he led TPS-based plant layout design for a new factory and implemented logistics Kaizen initiatives. After retiring from Toyota Boshoku in 2017, he joined Shingijutsu Global Consulting in 2018, providing TPS-focused consulting and seminar instruction globally.
