Nobuyuki Ozeki
Nobuyuki Ozeki is a Senior Consultant at Shingijutsu Global Consulting, with more than four decades of experience in manufacturing management and Kaizen promotion within Toyota Group companies. His career has been dedicated to establishing and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives from a management and leadership perspective, grounded in the Toyota Production System (TPS).
He joined Toyota Boshoku Corporation in 1976 and was initially assigned to the Development Section at the head office. From 1976 to 1979, he was seconded to DENSO Corporation, where he gained extensive experience in product development, design, and production engineering. During this period, he was responsible for the production transfer of automotive components—including ignition coils, air cleaners, and oil filters—from DENSO to Toyota Boshoku.
After returning to Toyota Boshoku in 1980, he served in the Production Engineering Department, leading production preparation activities for air cleaner and oil filter projects. He also held managerial roles at the Kariya Plant, overseeing manufacturing process development and operational improvement. In 2001, he was promoted to General Manager of the Corporate Planning Department.
From 2002 to 2006, he was appointed the first President of a newly established oil filter joint venture in Thailand between Toyota Boshoku and DENSO. He led initiatives to ensure stable quality, reliable production volume, and cost competitiveness through systematic Kaizen activities. After returning to Japan, he served as a Managing Officer of Toyota Boshoku, overseeing General Affairs, Safety and Environment, and Overseas Business operations.
He later served for five years as President of Kyoei Araco Co., Ltd., a Toyota Boshoku subsidiary manufacturing automotive seats and headrests, where he established a company-wide quality-first culture and significantly reduced in-process defects. He subsequently held concurrent roles as Managing Officer and Plant Manager for multiple domestic factories, while also leading new business initiatives in aircraft and Shinkansen seat manufacturing.
After retiring from Toyota Boshoku, he joined Shingijutsu Global Consulting, where he currently provides TPS- and Kaizen-focused consulting and seminar instruction, drawing on his extensive executive and operational experience.
