Masayuki Yoshizaki
Masayuki Yoshizaki is a Senior Consultant at Shingijutsu Global Consulting, with more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing operations, production control, and logistics management based on the Toyota Production System (TPS). He began his consulting activities in 2025 after a long career at Toyota Auto Body Co., Ltd.
He joined Arakawa Body Industry in 1977, which later became part of Toyota Auto Body, and was assigned to the Inabe Plant, where he held key roles including Deputy Manager of Engineering and General Affairs Manager. In 2012, he was appointed General Manager of the Inabe Plant, followed by Chief of the Overseas Promotion Office in 2018 and Assistant Plant Manager in 2020. Throughout his career, he was responsible for comprehensive vehicle production management, including safety, cost, production control, procurement, and external relations.
He actively promoted Just-in-Time (JIT)–based production control and led major improvements in both internal and external logistics efficiency. As a leader of the Body Group within the Toyota Autonomous Study Group, he contributed to the development and deployment of advanced logistics systems, including BL-5 (a kanban-based system for real-time supply adjustment), BL-7 (a load management system to reduce truck waiting time), and the Generation File, a data backup and recovery method later adopted across body manufacturers.
Domestically, he led factory-wide management initiatives covering SQPCDE during new vehicle launches, workforce management, inventory optimization, and unit-level control. Internationally, he served as a production leader for Land Cruiser manufacturing projects in China (FAW) and supported production control and logistics management during the launch of the HiAce plant in Thailand (Toyota Auto Works). He also provided on-site TPS-based consulting to suppliers in Japan and overseas, supporting inventory reduction and lead-time improvement initiatives.
